Blog Challenge Day 21: How has IF changed my parenting style

Day 21 - If you had gotten pregnant that first month you started trying, how would you have been a different parent? What changes have you made to your parenting style (either current or future) in the time you spent trying to conceive?


Well, since we've been trying for our first for two and a half years, I really am unsure of what we would have been like had we gotten PG in that first cycle or few.  I know we're very sure we want this.  I know we'll be more scared of every pain or spotting during PG because IF makes you freaked out now from all the loss you see on the boards.  I know that we'll be more thankful, knowing how hard we worked to get that child. 
 
But different as parents?  I don't know if anything has really changed.  Jeff and I both grew up in similar socioeconomic situations.  Two parent homes with one fellow sibling, middle class, Midwestern, democrat, etc.  We hate parents that scream at their children.  We hate when children are spoiled so much they become brats that they expect the world.  We don't want to co-sleep.  Etc. Etc. - I honestly can't think of something that I say "Oh, now having gone through IF I will do this instead."  We've just had a LOT more time to think and discuss somethings more than that super fertile couple did.
